Police found gambling machines, liquor and strippers in an overnight raid on an allegedly illegal nightclub in southwest Atlanta.
The raid followed a two-month undercover investigation of “Club Brazil,” an establishment operating in a two-story warehouse on Welcome All Road, Channel 2 Action News reported.
“It was just a small Las Vegas wrapped up in one building,”Atlanta police Capt. Scott Kreher told Channel 2.
“We’ve got pool tables, we’ve got video poker machines,” Kreher said. “We’ve got stripper poles for adult dancing. We also have several bars located throughout the establishment where they were serving alcohol without a license.”
The club had no business or alcohol licenses, Channel 2 reported. Officers could be seen early Thursday carting away cases of beer, large garbage cans filled with liquor and video gambling machines.
The owner is facing several charges, including operating a business without a license and several code violations.
