Rikers Island has held the reputation as one of the most dangerous jails in the country. The NYC facility has been the focus of many raps songs and the temporary home to many big name artist.
The prison is still one where violence can pour out in the blink of an eye. Watch as two gangs go back and forth over a grilled cheese sandwich. Several inmates suffered stab wounds in the brawl, which lasted roughly 45 minutes.
