The ranks of G.O.O.D. music is getting a little light. Earlier this year, Kanye’s label saw one of its main contributors, Kid Cudi exit to jumpstart his own label. Now it looks like producer/emcee Hit-Boy will be doing the same.
The man responsible for “Niggas In Paris“, “Cold“, “I Wish You Would“, and “Clique” was notably absent from the production credits on Ye’s latest disc ”Yeezus.”
Yesterday Hit-Boy has cleared the air on the matter, stating that he is no longer with G.O.O.D. Music.
According to the producer, there are no hard feelings between him and Ye, but his focus is on his own team at the time being. “I got nothing but respect for Kanye, [but] I’m no longer a part of G.O.O.D. Music anymore.” he said. “HS87 is where my heart is, that’s what I’m reppin”.
Hit-Boy has apparently inked a deal with Gee Robertson’s (of Hip Hop Since 1978) new Interscope/Geffen subsidiary “Blueprint”.
