The Arizona Wildcats were for a period of time, the number #1 team in the country. Led by freshman Aaron Gordon and sophomore Nick Johnson, the Wildcats came within minutes of making it to the Final 4. Today, they’re about to loose both players to the draft.
Gordon was expected to go, but Johnson was on the fence. Today, the Daily Wildcat announced that both players would be heading to the NBA

Gordon averaged 12 points a game this season for the Wildcats along with 8 rebounds. He’s a lock to be a Top-10 pick in this years draft. Johnson established himself as a tough lead guard, who plays strong defense. He upped his draft stock this year by establishing himself as a scorer who can hit the 3 ball when needed.

At 6’9, Gordon has been compared to Shawn Marion. Pac-10 Player of the Year, Johnson will still have to prove a lot in the off-season in order for him to solidify himself as a 1st round pick.
