A priest in Fairbanks Alaska has a lot of explaining to do after getting busted with guns and weed.

According to the Newsminer, 52-year old Father Sean P. Thomson, was stopped Monday in Fairbanks. After being pulled over, officers noticed that he looked somewhat disoriented. Officers asked him if he had any weapons on him. Father Thomson told the officer that he had a .357 magnum in the back seat and a 9mm in his back pocket.

Thomson was later found to have a small bag of marijuana on him as well.

It got worse for the Father when he blew a 0.247 on the breathalizer. That figure is three times the 0.08 level that is one legal standard for intoxication. Thomson then refused to take a more-accurate Datamaster test because “(he) said he was drunk and did not feel the test was necessary,” Bitz said.

Thomson was charged with DUI, refusal to take to a chemical alcohol test, drugs misconduct and two counts of weapons misconduct for both possessing a firearm while intoxicated and failing to immediately inform troopers he was carrying a firearm.

He has a court date coming this Friday.
