The Detroit Pistons said goodbye to coach Maurice Cheeks after the teams dismal start to the season. With a solid young nucleus consisting of Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond, Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings, you would think that anybody could coach them to the play-offs.
That’s easier said than done. Helping Drummond grow as a player and dealing with the headaches that are Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings, the Pistons might need a special person to guide this ship. Could that special person be former Piston great Rasheed Wallace?
Wallace helped the Pistons pick up two championship rings in the early 2000′s. The former fan favorite is now the favorite amongst fans to become the next coach.
An Official White House Petition was created to have Rasheed Wallace take over the reigns for theDetroit Pistons.
The petitions goal is to get 100,000 signatures and move Sheed from the assistant position to the head man in charge.
